I was able to set up this blog in about 30 seconds using my Gmail address and making a few choices about the blog name.
After creating the blog I am presented with a template for making a blog post.
It's very easy to start and post on Blogger.
You can even add images. (That's me, sitting at IHOP)
Blogger handles things like allowing comments, so you can interact with your readers.

Like you, I chose blogger when I started 5 years ago and haven't looked back. I decided not to do this for money, but just to provide excellent information in my fields of expertise -- ophthalmic technology and medical lasers.
Since my first blog in December 2005, I've had a ball and have had more than 40,000 hits as people have found my 140 or so postings.
